Conspiracy Theory

Someone out there is toying with the state of my health and hygiene :(
Don't you hate it when you find something that works for you then it disappears?
Case #1: I discovered Arm and Hammer toothpaste with Baking Soda a few years back and went out of my way (well, I walked from wherever my office was to the Landmark shopping mall) to buy it on a regular basis. It just worked for me. Then one day, I go to Landmark and it's gone. I check out Festival Mall, Alabang Town Center, and any PX store within my neighborhood but to no avail. Goodbye, Arm and Hammer toothpaste with Baking Soda, sniff-sniff.
Case#2: I find a Palmolive conditioner that jives with my hair, yahooey! The type escapes me now but I can assure you that it made bath time great. Then it disappears from the malls, arrgh! It may be back now but I can't remember which kind it was. That experience forced me to try a lot of brands (hit and miss). Apparently, my family is allergic to Pantene. Many local brands are also just too blah for my hair. Over the summer I felt like I died and went to heaven when I discovered Thermasilk Clarifying conditioner detangled my hair in a snap. Yes, it sounds petty but a conditioner can make or break your crowning glory. Come December 2005, Thermasilk Clarifying conditioner is GONE, huh-huh. The agony of finding a substitute. I actually did find one: a St. Ives conditioner that isn't as fabulous as Thermasilk but it gets the job done. My bottle is almost finished so I'm in a state of panic because I breezed through the malls again yesterday but couldn't find my St. Ives conditioner. In the words of Chris (?) from Miss Saigon, "Why God? Why this place?"
So two cases may seem lame but I also noticed yesterday that the stores didn't have my St. Ives Eye and Face Stress Gel or my Babyflo 200 pieces q-tips. When will it end?
Talk about the only thing constant in this world is change, grr!
